main pageFENUGREEK SPROUTS

FENUGREEK IS A MOISTENING HERB -- IT CONTAINS MUCILAGE -- WHICH .HELPS ADD MOISTURE TO YOUR BODY IF YOU HAVE A DRY CONSTITUTION. (LOTS MORE ON THAT IN MY HERBALIST COURSE, BUT IF YOU ARE ONE OF MY STUDENTS YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I MEAN)

YOU CAN USE IT IN TEAS & INFUSIONS. IT ALSO MAKES REALLY EASY TO MAKE SPROUTS FOR SALAD, THAT TASTE SLIGHTLY BITTER. BITTERS ARE SADLY MISSING IN MOST PEOPLE'S DIETS, BITTERS HELP YOUR DIGESTION, YOUR LIVER, YOUR MOODS, AND MUCH MORE.

BECAUSE FENUGREEK CONTAINS MUCILAGE THEY TEND TO GET GOOEY IN A SPROUTING JAR, SO I MAKE MINE IN A MESH BAG. YOU CAN GET THESE BAGS AT HEALTH FOOD STORES, ALSO A PAINT STRAINING BAG WILL WORK (FROM A HARDWARE STORE)

SOAK YOUR SEEDS OVERNIGHT IN A WIDE MOUTHED JAR

THESE HAVE SOAKED OVER NIGHT.

POUR THE WATER & SEEDS FROM THE JAR INTO THE MESH BAG, AND HANG IT UP SO IT CAN DRIP

HERE'S THE SPROUTS IN THE BAG THE NEXT MORNING. THEY WILL BE READY IN ANOTHER DAY. RINSE THEM STILL IN THE

BAG TWICE A DAY BY JUST RUNNING WATER OVER IT & HANGING IT UP AGAIN

AND THE NEXT MORNING, THESE ARE NOW READY TO EAT. PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE.

SPROUTS LIKE THIS ARE ALSO GREAT ON A RAW CEREAL:

Soaked chia seeds, dry coconut, hemp hearts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, grated carrot & chopped nectarine on top. This is from

a facebook post, I didn't put the sprouts on top this time. This cereal is made with homemade almond milk.
