    HOW TO ALKALIZE THE BODY:

    1. DETOXIFY!!!

Accumated toxic matter in the body adds to acidity & ill health. Read the information on my detox kits here...

2. ALKALIZE THE BODY USING SUPPLEMENTS:

Use several alfalfa tablets with each meal and use

trace minerals, such as HIMALAYAN CRYSTAL SALTS OR SOLE.

Adding beet powder, kelp, trace mineral drops and spirulina to your morning shake make a very alkalizing breakfast. See my morning shake recipe.

Make sure you are using Vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate, it is alkalizing to the body, other forms of Vitamin C are acidic. It comes in powder form, so it can be added to your morning shake as well.

Acid Alkaline Imbalance
Over acidity, can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems, is very common today. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH-balanced environment which allows normal body function necessary for the body to resist disease. A healthy body maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands. When access acids must be neutralized our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a weakened condition.
*When alkaline reserves in the body are exhausted, even more acidity occurs; metabolism becomes inefficient and acid builds up even more in the body tissues, further weakening the body.
How did my body become acidic?
The standard American diet can get over 95% of its calories from acidifying foods. Acidity comes about from eating too many acidic foods, such as animal products (meat, dairy, eggs), salt, cereal, coffee, sodas, and alcohol. Smoking is very acid producing. Physical exercise acidifies the blood with lactic acid. Deep breathing exercises alkalize the blood.

Acidity in the body can cause such problems as:
• Cardiovascular weakness, including the constriction of blood vessels and the reduction of oxygen.
• Weight gain, obesity and diabetes.
• Bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney stones.
• Immune system weakness.
• Acceleration of free radical damage, possibly contributing to cancerous mutations.
• Hormone concerns.
• Premature aging.
• Bone demineralization: osteoporosis; weak, brittle bones, fractures
• Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup.
• Low energy and chronic fatigue.
• Slow digestion and elimination.
• Yeast/fungal overgrowth.
• nervous disorders
• arthritis, gout
pH and Bone Loss:

A recent seven-year study conducted at the University of California, San Francisco, on 9,000 women showed that those who have chronic acidosis are at greater risk for bone loss than those who have normal pH levels. The scientists who carried out this experiment believe that many of the hip fractures prevalent among middle-aged women are connected to high acidity caused by a diet rich in animal foods and low in vegetables. This is because the body borrows calcium from the bones in order to balance pH.

Understanding pH

pH (potential of hydrogen) is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. It is measured on a scale of 0 to 14—the lower the pH the more acidic the solution, the higher the pH the more alkaline (or base) the solution. When a solution is neither acid nor alkaline it has a pH of 7 which is neutral.

The body continually strives to balance pH. When this balance is compromised many problems can occur.

It is important to understand that we are not talking about stomach acid or the pH of the stomach. We are talking about the pH of the body's fluids and tissues which is an entirely different matter.

To alkalize the body:

1. Take a full spectrum digestive enzyme
2. Use a greens product, spirulina or cholorphyll
3. Use trace minerals in liquid form such as Himalayan Crystal salt sole
4. Instead of regular salt use an alkalizing product such as Himalayan Crystal Salts
5. Detoxify the body
6. Use Alfalfa tablets 6 - 9 per day for several months, then cut back to 3 per day.
7. Calcium, magnesium
8. Instead of ascorbic acid, choose a Vitamin C supplement that alkalizes such as calcium ascorbate.
9. Choose alkalizing foods. Note that a food is classified as acid or alkaline according to the residue that
remains after it has been metabolized, not according to a food’s taste. For example, lemons have an acidic taste but leave an alkaline residue when metabolized, so lemons are actually an alkaline food.
