I am not a fan of flax crackers, I find them brittle and I don't feel I digest them well. I decided to try chia crackers/chips & see if I liked them any better.
My first batch of chia chips turned out thin but are really strong they don't break like flax ones, they bend, but are still crunchy.
Start with chia seeds & liquid in a bowl, I used water, some lime juice & a juiced tomato. I added garlic & onion powders, cumin, chili powder, Bragg (or coconut aminos for no soy) and nutritional yeast.
Let it sit, stirring occasionally until it gets quick thick. If its not thick enough, add some more chia.
Spread it on a Teflex sheet. If you don't have Teflex sheets, parchment paper works pretty well.
Here's the finished crackers. This batch was bit thin. But they were still surprisingly strong, they held up great in some salsa.
For a simple salsa, blend: tomatoes, garlic, tomatillos, lime & jalapeno.
This is a second batch I made. I soaked the chia seeds in leftover salsa
I made these ones thicker, they were about a centimeter thick on the Teflex sheet before dehydrating.
Here's the finished product.
I made another batch of chia chips using fresh minced dill & lemon juice. Really good!
RAW DINNER: dill & lemon chia seed chips, some raw veggies & onion dip.

This toxicity comes through
