Using our senses, especially taste will help us to determine what an herb might do in the body without having to refer to a book!
Some ideas of foods to taste that you probably have in your kitchen.
Taste 1 per day so you aren't combining a lot of flavors. This will help you notice any subtle effects on your body as well.
Share your experiences on the forum if you have time, so we can compare what we are tasting, how it feels in the body & maybe some other suggestions of things found in the kitchen to taste.
CRANBERRIES: CHEW A FRESH OR THAWED OUT FROZEN CRANBERRY. Taste cranberry a few times during the day.
Spicy pepper, choose one that you can handle tasting. Take a tiny bite & notice its effects in your, on your emotions & body. You can try making an infusion
of spicy peppers & sip at it too.
Citrus, again, taste just one per day: lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit. Bit a small piece of the inside part & hold it in your mouth. Squeeze
one type of citrus in your drink bottle each day, notice its effects of your body.
GRAPES: you can do the tasting with grapes, try green, black, and purple if you are able to, they all have different tastes.
LEAFY GREENS: try tasting various leafy greens, chew thoroughly at the front of your mouth using your front teeth & tip of your tongue for tasting.
TRY VARIOUS TYPES OF APPLES. Eat an apple or 2 today & notice its taste & effects on your body.
GINGER: try tasting a small piece of ginger & chewing it with your front teeth, tasting with the tip of your tongue. Make yourself a ginger
infusion today to sip at.
